PATROL DIVISION

     The Wamego Police Department Patrol Division is responsible for the two square miles of the city limits and Wamego City Airport located on Airport which is two miles east of the city limits.  The Patrol Divison answers calls for assistence from the public and will generaly be the first officer on the scene for all types of calls.  The Patrol Division also enforces traffic laws and maintains highly visible patrol methods.  The Patrol Division would not be complete without the assistance of the part time officers.  These officers make themselves available at short notice to cover a shift if some one is sick or extra assistance is needed no matter the situation.  All part time officers have full time jobs that they work; then the extra duties of working for the police department.
